Welcome to the Heritage Village of East Grand Forks, MN. We are an
historical organization, comprised of volunteers, who share our passion
for the history of East Grand Forks, MN and the larger northern Red
River Valley via our physical grounds, which houses 21 historical and
other buildings arranged to interpret the history of the area from the
19th century to the present.
Our village grounds are meant to serve as both a static and living
museum, covering a wide variety of topics, including agriculture,
military, domestic life, religion, and commerce. We offer tours of the
grounds and buildings, and the village comes to life every year, through
Heritage Days, where a variety of programming and activities seek to
educate visitors about life “back in the day.”
If you live in, or near, East Grand Forks and are interested in
helping out, consider becoming a member and getting involved. Our
meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM.
